Henry Brickley

Every life has a story… Henry Franklin Brickley was born April 15, 1837 in the state of New York. As a young man, he served in the Civil War, 148 NY, Company D. Where Henry met Adelia Birdsall is undetermined but her family had lived in Wyoming for a number of years. Adelia Mahalia Birdsall and Henry were married circa 1881 (location unknown). She was born November 6, 1840 in the state of New York. If dates are accurate, they were both in their 40’s when they married. Unfortunately, no information was available about when Henry and Adelia actually moved to Nebraska but they were listed in the 1900 census living in Friend. Not all census records were located so it is possible they moved to Friend earlier. Additionally, no information was located if the couple had any children or if either of them had been married before. Henry passed away May 2, 1915 at the age of 78. His wife, Adelia, died on April 16, 1907 at the age of 66. This loving couple is buried in Block 8 of Andrew Cemetery.
